The Arab Women Organization is looking to hire female employees at its center in Ma’an Governorate as part of the “Empowering Communities and Civil Society Organizations to Promote Women’s Rights in Jordan” project. The available positions are:
1- Center Manager – Office Response Officer
The candidate should possess the ability to coordinate the implementation of projects both within and outside the Arab Women Organization’s service center. Responsibilities include supporting the program coordinator in planning and executing all program activities to meet project objectives aligned with the organization’s mission of promoting equality and empowering women socially, politically, and economically. This role also involves providing services to victims of violence, ensuring the organization’s goals are aligned with its strategic objectives to reach a broader audience, building and developing partnerships with local NGOs and government entities to implement activities, monitoring project progress (including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting), overseeing technical supervision of tasks as per project requirements, and managing staff while enhancing their capabilities as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management (Public Administration/Business Administration/Strategic Planning or an advanced management course).
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge in monitoring and evaluation, supported by documentation and reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team.
- Experience in field coordination and networking.
- Basic computer literacy and email writing skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Resident of Ma’an Governorate.

2- Case Manager – Psychological Counselor (2 positions)
This position involves providing psychological support services (individual and group sessions), managing cases, and ensuring that behavioral problems or risks faced by women and girls are regularly addressed. This is carried out according to a case management process established for each case, which includes data collection, case follow-up, referring beneficiaries to appropriate authorities when necessary, and monitoring the case until closure by the case manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Psychological Counseling or Sociology as a minimum.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with domestic violence protection laws, referral systems, and mandatory reporting (e.g., Family Protection or Women’s Union).
- Ability to handle cases of gender-based violence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to document beneficiary data both physically and electronically with complete confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge in monitoring and evaluation in case management, supported by documentation and reports.
- Willingness to communicate with cases and follow up after working hours if necessary.
- Basic computer literacy, especially in Excel.
- Proficiency in writing both quantitative and qualitative reports.
- Resident of Ma’an Governorate.

3- Community Engagement Officer (1 position)
The officer will assist the center manager and project officer in implementing and managing daily activities, monitoring projects in relevant field sites, planning and organizing project activities, coordinating with local civil society organizations, providing awareness sessions on various forms of violence (gender-based violence, domestic violence) to targeted groups (both males and females), offering training courses to heads of local organizations and associations, and providing information on the services offered by the organization’s centers in the governorates. The role also includes mobilizing target groups to benefit from services provided at the organization’s centers and ensuring activities are carried out within a specific timeframe.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Psychology, Sociology, Special Education).
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of gender-based violence concepts and domestic violence protection laws.
- Previous experience in fieldwork and organizing awareness-raising activities and managing training.
- Strong teamwork, communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to humanitarian standards.
- Experience in field coordination and networking with local community organizations for collaboration.
- Ability to write reports and create a monthly strategic plan to achieve project goals in line with the organization’s strategy.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Resident of Ma’an Governorate.
