The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO), a leading non-profit women’s rights organization, is seeking a qualified trainer to develop and deliver a comprehensive training program focused on the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda (WPSA) and gender-responsive advocacy. This initiative is part of the “Strengthening Feminist CSOs for the Implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine” project, funded by the Support Fund for Feminist Organizations of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The training, scheduled for the 3rd week of December 2023, aims to enhance the capabilities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in Jordan. The trainer will be responsible for creating a dynamic and interactive curriculum that integrates foundational concepts of the WPSA with gender-responsive advocacy, focusing on practical application and relevance to the context of Jordan.
We are looking for candidates with proven expertise in gender studies, conflict resolution, or related fields, and experience in conducting trainings for CSOs and CBOs. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the socio-political context of Jordan and possess excellent communication and facilitation skills.
